Based on published dimensions, the 23" maximum riser on a 29" desk produces a roughly 52" keyboard surface, which is 5"–7" above what even a 6'7" user needs. You will never run this at maximum, which is exactly the point: it operates in the stable middle of its travel.

The 9 discrete settings are worth understanding. A stepped mechanism is not infinitely adjustable, so your ideal height may fall between two settings. With 23" spread over 9 stops, the steps average roughly 2.3" apart. For a 6'4" user targeting 43"–45", that 2" target window will contain a setting, but it is worth confirming rather than assuming. Step 1: Measure standing elbow height

  • Monitor height. Covered above. Budget for a monitor arm or riser alongside the converter, not instead of one.
